LocationHunstanton is the largest and best known resort in West Norfolk, first popularised by the Edwardians at the turn of the last century. It can probably best be described as an old fashioned seaside town. With its famous striped cliffs, it is the only west-facing resort on the east coast of Britain and enjoys higher than average sunshine - hence the name ‘SunnyHunny’. Old Hunstanton is less than a mile away and if you drive further along the coast there are more wide, sandy beaches at Holkham, Wells & Brancaster. This part of the North Norfolk coastline stretches for over 40 miles and much of it is designated an area of outstanding natural beauty. Apart from the beautiful coastline North Norfolk has one of the highest concentrations of top quality pubs that you’ll find anywhere – including the Lifeboat and The Orange Tree at Thornham, The Ship at Brancaster and The White Horse at Brancaster Staithe. |
