Northernhay - self catering holiday house in Hunstanton, NorfolkNorthernhay is our holiday house in Hunstantanton on the North Norfolk coast. It is a large, comfortable, Edwardian villa on the south side of Boston Square built at the turn of the last century, when Hunstanton first became popular as a seaside resort. Constructed from the local brown sandstone, it retains several ‘Arts & Crafts’ features and will sleep ten comfortably. Downstairs there is a kitchen, dining room, sitting room, utility room and shower-room /loo. On the first floor there are three double bedrooms (one of which has an en suite bathroom) two rooms with twin beds, separate loo and bathroom and a children’s bedroom which has bunk-beds. On the second floor there is an attic room with twin beds which is suitable for adults or teenagers but not small children. In all the house will comfortably sleep ten adults or a party of up to 12 (maximum) including children. The sitting room has a flat screen television and there’s a small conservatory leading off it which opens onto the garden. The dining room will seat eight adults in comfort or ten with a bit of a squeeze. The kitchen is fairly large with space for a small breakfast table and there is plenty of food storage space including a walk-in pantry and large fridge/freezer in the utility room. It’s equipped with a standard sized electric oven (with gas hob), microwave, dishwasher and fridge. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer and opens directly onto the gravel parking area at the back of the house, where there’s space to park either a large Volvo estate or a couple of smaller cars. The small garden to the side of the house is mainly lawn and there are table & chairs, barbeque etc. There’s central heating (gas) throughout the house apart from the attic bedroom. We provide all sheets, duvets, towels (but not beach towels) and gas and electricity is also included. The house has Wi-Fi. |
